Photo from this time last year-fall where ARE you!?
It has been a long time since I have done a post like this, so I thought it was about time I shared a few of my favorite things that have been inspiring me around the internet and in my day to day.
I have been a long time fan and shopper at Kate Spade, but their recently released fall collection is taking my fandom to full blown obsession. I love a leopard print and think of it as a neutral in my closet, and they created a whole line around this classic (and a little bit wild!) print. My favorites are this chunky sweater (above), a statement making leopard print sequin dress, and if you’re not quite ready to jump in as boldly, a printed wallet. Do yourself a favor; go on Instagram and search #leopardleopardleopard to get some serious inspiration and photos of stylish celebs sporting the best of the collection.
Speaking of autumn inspiration, Damsel in Dior has been pumping it out in spades! Jacey was the first blogger I started following regularly (and was a huge reason I started my own blog!) and her California-cool laid back style with a focus on staple pieces has always clicked with me. But her recent trips to NYC and Paris for fashion weeks have delivered some of my favorite outfits to date. And her Insta-stories of her travels make me want to pack a suitcase for Europe immediately! If you don’t follow her, you are majorly missing out.
I have been interested in Fabletics for a long time, and as I am pushing myself to stay consistent with workouts on tour, I am always keeping my eyes peeled for cute and functional exercise wear. I found a Fabletics store and was able to try on a bunch of goodies and I walked out with a new set! I grabbed this Cici Sports Bra (seen above) and the Martina Leggings (see below). I have only worn them once, so a longer review will come after a serious sweat in them, but so far I am a big fan. I love the high waist cut of the leggings and the bra top is super supportive with a flattering line (and gives this small-chested lady some cleavage which we can’t usually make happen!) I loved being able to touch everything in store and try on options instead of having to order online and deal with returns if I ordered the incorrect size, and their prices can’t be beat for high quality activewear.
And lastly, two of my favorite recent reads! A Fall of Marigolds is a beautiful novel that tells the stories of two women, one on Ellis Island in 1911 and the other a woman on September 11, 2001, who’s journeys are linked by a beautiful scarf. Historical, emotional and driven by gorgeous storytelling, I fell in love with both of these women and cheered for them as they fight through tragedy in their lives to heal their broken hearts.
Following Atticus is the true story about how a rescue pup completely turned a lonely, grumpy newspaper man’s life on its’ head! This unlikely pair challenge themselves to climb all 48 peaks over 4,000 feet in New Hampshire one winter as a tribute to a dear friend who died of cancer. What follows is more than just the difficulties they faced on their journey, but a story about the connection between people and their dogs and how they can help us see parts of life we never opened our eyes to before. A must read for dog owners and lovers!
I am currently in Cincinnati, OH on tour and our next two stops are Grand Rapids, Michigan and then back to Cleveland, OH. Will I be seeing any of you there?
Thanks for dropping by!
