There really is nothing like summer in the city. This weekend we had some pretty perfect summer weather and I packed in as much time outside with as many friends as possible! I am gearing up to go out of town for a little while, so I am taking full advantage of my last days (for now!) in this magical, crazy city I call home!
The weekend kicked off at the Dream Hotel with a fabulous cocktail party thrown by my friends at Broadway Style Guide to celebrate the Tony Awards. They had a photo booth decked out in palm leaves (run by one of my favorite gals and photographers, Jenny Anderson!) cocktails out on their rooftop, and a great crowd of Broadway’s most stylish! These ladies are Teale, LJ, Carrie and Alyson-smart, passionate and beauties inside and out!
Dress is Three Eighty Two (it comes in a ton of colors and patterns and is super affordable!)
We are so lucky to be close to both Riverside Park as well as Central Park, so Ari gets to meet all the pups on the West Side.
I spent an afternoon out shopping with one of my best friends on 5th Ave. Is it just me, or can you spend hours in Sephora!? I can never walk away empty handed! I snapped this shot in Club Monaco, who has my absolute favorite summer collection right now. I seriously wanted every single piece and to immediately jump in a car to wear them at the beach! I am dreaming about this hat and think I need to drop back in to bring her home.
Saturday was spent having a bunch of goodbyes with some of my best friends. Saying “so long for now” is always so bittersweet, but it is a wonderful reminder of how lucky I am to have so many friends in my life who make saying goodbye so difficult! There were long walks in Central Park, dinner in a Broadway dressing room and red wine (and late night pizza delivery!) on an Upper West Side roof deck! It was a pretty perfect way to say adios to my favorite neighborhood and favorite people.
Sunday started off with a great sweat session at Bandier; those of you who need some new workout inspiration, check them out! Bandier is a workout-wear store filled with the best and most stylish gear you have ever seen and there is a studio inside where they have fitness classes of all styles. I took The Dance, a cardio class taught by Broadway showgirl and fitness badass Amanda Kloots! My friend Ashley is a huge fan of her upbeat, girl-power-filled class and finally dragged me along and I am SOLD! Sunday’s class was Wonder Woman themed with the new movie coming out-so fun. If you are in NYC and want to sweat it out to high energy tunes and super fun dance moves, try and get yourself a spot in her wildly popular class!
Any workout studio with gold stars on the walls is one I want to be in!
Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!
